Artificial Intelligence CE For CFPs, IARs & CPA CPE

Practical, Ethical, Professional Use Of AI

This class is approved for credit by CFP Board, IWI, and NASBA, as well as NASAA IAR CE (Course ID #C80763).

An introduction to artificial intelligence, this class empowers professionals with practical, real-world knowledge about writing prompts, choosing the right tools, and basics of applying AI.

Using ChatGPT and other tools to improve processes and capabilities, this class demonstrates how to enhance productivity, marketing, and client engagement.

Led by a serial entrepreneur, former newspaper reporter and author of nine novels, Craig Turner, wrote a thriller about an AI-generated politician in 2020 before becoming an AI consultant.

The session explores how AI can serve as a tool—not a crutch—to augment human effort, improve outcomes, and integrate seamlessly into daily operations.

Through live demonstrations, prompting strategies, and examples drawn directly from financial advisory practice, participants learn how to create effective prompts, automate marketing tasks, analyze client data, and navigate AI’s ethical and compliance considerations.

The course also emphasizes organizational integration, data security, and the shift in mindset necessary to stay competitive in an AI-enhanced business landscape. This class aims to teach how to:

  • View AI as an improvement to yourself, not a replacement. AI offers help, not human replacement.
  • Use AI as a tool, not a crutch. Make your work better, not just faster.
  • Effective prompting is critical for success. Better inputs deliver better results consistently.
  • AI + human effort equals real impact. The combo creates marketable, efficient professionals.
  • Adopt AI across your organization. Don't let knowledge walk out the door.
  • The right data unlocks real value. Use relevant, usable data, not generic noise.
  • Choose your AI platforms intentionally. Try many, pay for privacy and features.
  • Empower your team with AI permission. Don't limit productivity with outdated policies.
  • Automate and streamline tasks with GPTs. GPTs save hours on repeated tasks instantly.
  • Let AI be your expert assistant.  Use AI to prep, draft, audit, and advise.

Instructor

Craig Turner

Instructor, Artificial Intelligence

Craig Turner is a nationally recognized AI educator, speaker, and consultant who has trained over 900 organizations on integrating artificial intelligence into real-world business operations. As founder of Momentum and co-founder of Momentum AI, Craig specializes in helping chambers of commerce, small businesses, nonprofits, and financial professionals harness AI as a strategic tool — not a shortcut. His practical, engaging approach to teaching demystifies AI by focusing on usable data, ethical implementation, and scalable productivity enhancements. In addition to his consulting work, Craig serves as the interim executive for the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce, giving him hands-on experience in operational leadership and economic development. A passionate advocate for responsible innovation, he routinely speaks to professional audiences across the country, showcasing live demonstrations and use cases in tools like ChatGPT, Canva, and custom-built GPTs. Craig’s career path into AI began unexpectedly. Craig was a newspaper reporter before he became a business owner and novelist. In 2021, Craig wrote a political thriller imagining an AI generated character running for public office. He soon realized he’d become an AI strategist himself. His commitment to staying ahead of the curve — and helping others do the same — is evident in his philosophy: AI is not about getting things off your plate; it’s about doing everything better. Craig actively shares insights on LinkedIn, encouraging professionals to connect, not just follow, and continue learning beyond the classroom.
