TD Ameritrade (AMTD) Hits New 52-Week Low

TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation hit a new 52-week low Monday at $13.67, below its previous 52-week low of $13.69.    TD Ameritrade Holding shares are down 27.5% year to date as of the close of trading on Friday, reports The Street.com. The Street says AMTD boasts a "solid financial position" but is hobbled by a "feeble" earnings growth rate.

Schwab's Apology For Mistakenly Prospecting RIA Clients Is Like Deja Vu All Over Again, And It Needs To Do Better

Schwab Advisor Services CEO Bernie Clark is today quoted apologizing to Schwab-affiliated RIAs for mistakenly prospecting to their clients, which reminds of an incident in early-1998 when Schwab contacted the clients of former Boston-area advisor Marjorie Meyer.   In fact, the recent incident is about the same as one I reported on for Dow Jones Investment Advisor  in May 1998 in which I documented instances of Schwab inappropriately contacting advisor clients.
