The Department of Labor recently provided the final regulations to pending 408(b)(2). These will be effective July 16^th 2011. The goal of these regulations is to make sure that workers and plan sponsors are getting services at a fair price. More specifically, the DOL realized that the majority of Plan Sponsors have no idea what fees they are paying for and what services they may be receiving from various services providers.
